eCollege moves into new campus

In January, eCollege London completed its move to a new Campus at 401 Mile End Road, London E3.   Students and staff alike are delighted with the excellent facilities and have settled in very well.

This individualist building at Mile End Road in the Borough of Tower Hamlets is located directly opposite Mile End underground station which is serviced by the Central, Hammersmith & City and District Lines.   Students have commented that the proximity of the campus to the tube station is very convenient for getting to and from the College.

401 Mile End Road is built on the site previously occupied by a large mansion called Essex House.   In 1881 Charles Ashbee moved his Guild of Handicraft into this building with the aim of preserving and practising many of the old hand skills of printing, bookbinding, furniture making and metalwork.

Today the area is a bustling suburb with several restaurants, bars, and places of interest to visit.    It is a very residential area and many students have decided to make the area their “home away from home”

  • When I first arrived at eCollege I couldn’t communicate very well with some of the other students. However, after just a short while I felt at home and my English improved quite quickly. Thank you to all the staff and teachers at eCollege.
